Cyclohexanones

4,4-Disubstituted cyclohexanone derivatives are useful building blocks in medicinal chemistry. However they are not readily commercially available and their methods of synthesis are limited. Thus we have established scalable routes and prepared various 4,4-disubstitute cyclohexanone derivatives. The 4,4-disubstituted cyclohexylamine derivatives can be prepared with these ketones and the corresponding amines by using classical reductive amination. The carbonyl handle and its symmetrical a-protons can be used to construct heterocyclic moieties of interest, such as fused thiophene, indole, Pyrazole, pyrimidine etc. A number of 4,4-disubstituted Cyclohexanone derivatives are availabe in a gram scale. These products and its other derivatives can be made in higher scale upon request.
